Cooking with Kuji: Rose 08 - Saffron Rose Breakfast Kheer

Enjoy Rose Kheer for breakfast or dessert, this naturally sweetened rice pudding is completely guilt-free and also very nutritious.

Cooking with Kuji: Rose 08 – Saffron Rose Breakfast Kheer

Ingredients

2/3 cup cooked basmati rice

2 cups Kuji natural milk (or any other nut milk)

1 pinch saffron powder or saffron strands

2 cardamom pods, crushed salt

¼ tsp ground ginger

1 tbsp chopped cashews

2 tbsp sliced pistachios

2 tbsp Kuji Rose

A sprinkle of rose petals

Water, if needed

 

 

Method

 

  1. Place rice, milk, saffron, cardamom, salt ginger and cashews into a saucepan.
  2.  Gently bring to a simmer, stirring all the time. The kheer should be creamy and rich, with a rice pudding consistency. 
  3. After about 10 minutes, remove from the heat and place in a bowl. 

To Serve

 

Place the kheer in a bowl, swirl in the Kuji Rose and top with rose petals and pistachios.
