A REJUVENATING TONIC, REPRODUCTIVE ELIXIR AND VITALITY BOOSTER

Shatavari, or Asparagus racemosus, has been used for centuries in Ayurveda primarily as a rejuvenating tonic for the reproductive and digestive systems. This nourishing super-herb features in our Masala Chai plant-based latte as an Ayurvedic Rasayana to help prevent aging, increase longevity, build immunity, sharpen mental function and elevate your overall vitality.

Shatavari is considered to be a powerful general tonic, but also specifically for women to help them gracefully transition through all stages of their feminine blossoming (1). Its name is derived from Sanskrit which translates into ‘she who has a hundred husbands’, referring to both its ability to cultivate fertility and promote a radiant, healthy glow.

Shatavari brings to our Masala Chai latte a broad spectrum of phytochemicals shown to have antioxidant, antidiarrheal, antidiabetic and antiulcer effects (1). It’s often touted as an ‘adaptogen’ – herbs which can help the body adapt to various stress factors. However, we prefer to be conservative when using this definition as more research is required to identify Shatavari as a true adaptogen.

Shatavari is also known in China as Tian Men Dong, or “heavenly spirit herb”, as it was cherished by shamans, monks, and yogis for its heart-opening effects. Chinese Taoist monks nicknamed it ‘The Flying Herb’, for its efficacy to help illicit lucid dreaming and help move an individual into alignment with their spirit.

Our unique nine day slow-process helps retain all the nourishing and balancing bioactive compounds found in Shatavari. Sourced from a small cooperative in Northern India, dedicated to organic and sustainable farming, our Shatavari is grown with the highest energetic frequency of love, care and integrity.
